In this video, Dr. Abraham Morgentaler introduces his beginnings into the realm of testosterone, one of the most misunderstood hormones today. He became fascinated with testosterone while he worked in a laboratory studying lizards and their sexual behaviors. What he learned from this experience is that testosterone, amongst other things, is a brain hormone.
Testosterone was not widely talked about while he was doing his residency in urology, except that it was not safe for men with advanced prostate cancer. Once he began practicing, he started to offer testosterone to men who experienced a wide array of sexual issues. Once he began to see his patients responding well to treatment, he knew there was much more to testosterone than most people knew.
