What is Low-T?

Low-T is a long-term condition that occurs when the body does not produce enough testosterone. Low-T may be caused by many things such as aging, hormone changes, chemotherapy, and others. You can be born with Low-T, or it can develop later in life. Some types of Low-T can be treated with testosterone replacement therapy.

What is Testosterone?

Testosterone is a hormone found in humans and animals. In men, the testicles primarily make testosterone. Women’s ovaries also make testosterone, in much smaller amounts. While it is often thought of primarily as a sex hormone, testosterone plays many important roles in the body. In men, it’s thought to regulate sex drive (libido), but also bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength, and the production of red blood cells and sperm.
