ADAM Screening Questionnaire

The Androgen Deficiency in Aging Males (ADAM) questionnaire is an easy way to answer questions about your health, which can help to see if you need your testosterone level checked.

It is an internationally accredited assessment tool which is often used by doctors when making the assessment and diagnosis of Testosterone Deficiency. A positive result does not necessarily mean that you have a low testosterone level or require treatment, but can be a helpful guide when discussing your symptoms with your doctor.

What is Low Testosterone?

Testosterone is the male sex hormone that is made in the testicles. Testosterone hormone levels are important to normal male sexual development and functions.

During puberty (in the teen years), testosterone helps boys develop male features like body and facial hair, deeper voice, and muscle strength. Testosterone levels generally decrease with age, but low testosterone can impact men at any age who have certain medical conditions. This is called Testosterone Deficiency Syndrome (TD) or Low Testosterone (Low T).

These symptoms or conditions may accompany Low T:

  • Low sex drive
  • Fatigue
  • Reduced lean muscle mass
  • Irritability
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Depression
